"I chose this ryokan since it was the only reasonably priced one in the Nara area. It has a beautiful garden just outside our room and the room itself was comfortable and large. The only downside to the place was the strong smell in the room and the cockroach that I had to kill as it crawled across the room."

Doesn’t feel great when imagining disaster such as earthquake …. Staff members are helpful but no English speaking , nice location near a river and it’s a perfect secret spot for cherry blossom."
