"My husband and I went to see the wild flowers and were just looking for a place to crash at the end of the day. This lodge was such a nice surprise! "No swimming towels made available, told to make use of our bath towels. Swimming pool was dirty with crickets and dead frogs in it. The bath towels are old and hard. The bedding is stained with old marks. Paint is peeling off walls in unit. No-one emptied dustbins over a 2 days stay even though we placed this outside. Wine glasses on the shelf cracked. Iron was rusted and marked out clothing. Remote control for gate not working. Did not need or want to hear Receptionist’s work history....

"This place was beautiful. The staff are wonderful. But this was not ideal with our baby. However the no aircon and 37 degrees does not go well together along with 5000 mozzies and no sort of repellent in room. The mozzie net also broke and fell onto me and my baby, the other one also didn't cover my husband ankles and well, he looks like he has chicken pox on his ankles. Also when we booked, it said TWO double beds and TWO rooms, and it was not. One single bed right next to the double bed....

"Very cool location and quite relaxing. Needs some improvement on the interior and exterior of the cottage though as a lot of things were worn. It was quite windy while we were there and the wind blew most of the smoke coming the fireplace back inside which made everything smell like smoke, including our clothes in our suitcases. It did improve the feeling of being in a remote location, but still, this is probably not what you want. Overall quite good and value for money."
