"The hotel is well situated a short walk from the town. I've stayed once before. I booked a balcony room this time with canal view, complete waste of money. You could see the canal by leaning over the balcony. The balcony itself wasn't a nice space. It needed a good clean and sprucing up.
Our room was very spacious, unfortunately, not very clean and again, needed sprucing up. This was reported on arrival and apparently someone was sent to clean it, but this wasn't evident.

"The stay was for a stag weekend and is ideally placed for all local attractions, pubs, restaurants etc...
However, it is in need of a serious refurbishment, as the rooms are tired, a bit shabby in parts and no air-conditioning, so was very hot even with the fan provided. All plug sockets were at one end of the room and the sleeping area had none, so fan wasn't very effective at night. There is no way this hotel is a £110 per night, which was £50 cheaper than they quoted direct. Maybe £75 at...
