"We were to check in at 12pm. We arrived the facility at about 3pm. The rooms were still dirty at the time of arrival, they finally got cleaned at 5pm. The hot water was not functional. "I enjoyed my 3 night stay at ModernSouthHotel in diani beach that I extended my stay an additional two nights after examining other more expensive properties. Modern South has a nice pool, superb service (thanks Felix, Juma, Lugo,Patrick) from people who care, the rooms are fine (not luxurious but everything you need w plenty of space nice shower water pressure and a great firm bed w nice linens (that amazingly are changed daily!). Much slower paced than Diani Beach hotels so it fit our needs. Restaurant was beach front and buffet style. "The Penthouse is a blissful experience and if you need anything Gilbert will ensure your get it. We asked if he could get us snapper and vegetables for dinner and he organised for it to be delivered and grilled for us by an onsite chief.
