"The property is very clean and has everything you need right on the property. The restaurant has amazing food, the staff is very helpful, and the rooms are very clean. There are several hot springs and a pool with water slides for kids. It is a great property, and we highly recommend it if you visit the La Fortuna area."

"Staff was very friendly and helpful. We kept asking them for great places to eat and they always had a new place for us to go that was amazing. The apartment we stayed at had a fireplace that my wife enjoyed at night and an arcade game for the kids to play with. It was a great place for us to relax at the end of the day and get ready for the next days activities."

"We loved our stay at the Lost Iguana! Our young kids also really enjoyed their time. The breakfast was great, rooms/views were outstanding, service/resort staff was amazing - we loved it all. I would HIGHLY recommend!"

"This property has an incredible view of the volcano and the most amazing trails right on the property. The property is full of wildlife, and we were able to watch spider monkeys swinging from the trees from the balcony of our room, as well as watch a variety of native birds and other native creatures without going anywhere else. My kids enjoyed exploring and were so excited every day to see what new animals they would discover. I just wish we had longer to explore!

"Our stay at Hotel Mountain Paradise in La Fortuna was absolutely perfect from beginning to end. We stayed in a gorgeous room with a private pool and breathtaking views of Arenal Volcano. Waking up every morning to that incredible scenery felt like a dream.
The entire property is beautifully maintained, peaceful, and surrounded by nature. One of our favorite features was the heated pool with a swim-up bar — truly a hidden gem and the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring.

"I found the staff to be very rigid with any additional requests. I was expecting a traditional bacon and eggs, but it was more like bologna bacon / guess it’s cheaper to feed guests. The butter was spoiled and expired the same month. It was orange and had a weird taste, and the staff would not help in supplying butter even an additional cost. The restaurant seems to be highly priced, especially for Canadians."
