"We had a very nice room and the staff were very friendly. I think people dined elsewhere as I never saw anyone in the dining area for breakfast or dinner. We came back with a to go box since I couldn't finish my meal and he informed us that we could not eat in our room. We could store it in the refrigerator but we would need to come to the dining area to eat. That was a little odd, I'm 55 and have never been told I can't eat in the room. "Considering you’re paying for convenience, something else will get compromised right? Space. The room is puny. Barely comfortable for “get in and out” kind of traveler. Shower is old school and can leak out so, I would be careful or use towels to alleviate. Venice is not necessarily the cleanest town so I would keep your standards tamed."
