Although the hotel is a bit dated, it goes with the ambiance of the building. I found our room and bathroom clean and cozy. The building has so many areas to sit and relax. We liked it that much we have booked another trip in September "

"Excellent and friendly welcome, room was checked over before giving us the keys, answered our questions (regarding public transport to Edinburgh). Good night’s sleep, comfortable and quiet. "There was no one at the desk. Self check in via the hotel email. Room was on 2nd floor up two flights of winding stairs not easy to maneuver with luggage. Limited food at the hotel. Did have free parking. Very old building not handicap accessible. Room was a good size and comfortable. Bathroom was very small couldn’t open the door all the way. Not recommended for older people or anyone who can’t do stairs."
