However…QUITE expensive! paying $32 to rent an umbrella on top of at least $20 (min) for a drink seemed a bit much, given what e had already paid to stay (and park) there."

"I stayed in the maxine building and its was not as expected, I woke up to roaches in my room and the bathroom, I had to be moved to the main building the Catalina where I expected to stay originally the phones weren’t working it took them forever to bring us wash cloths it’s wasn’t horrible however it wasn’t worth the money spent the room in the Catalina was a bit better no roaches obviously and the sheets were a bit better quality. I would come back however I’d like to avoid the Maxine building."

"We went for our 25th anniversary. The room was well-maintained, clean, and nice. It was a good size and was quiet. The pool area was well set up, and it closed at 6 pm. The hotel offered two bars and two restaurants. One bar was outside by the pool. The hotel was off the beach, and you could come and go easily. In the area, there were many dining options. My husband mentioned that he had put in the reservation, it was our anniversary, and he was hoping they would do something for it, but they didn't. Not a big thing, though. Upon checkout, we discovered a room charge for food and drinks that wasn't ours, but we reported it and hopefully it gets taken off. "

"Pros: Lovely staff, cute property, slept great. Cons: Terrible restaurant and worst burger I've ever had in my entire life. Let's not call it a "smash burger" when nothing was smashed about it."

"For the price the hotel was just bad. One good thing was the bag service while we waited for our room to be prepared. Now for the bad, when you book a 300 dollar a night room you are expecting quality but we got the opposite. To start the restaurant was incredibly overpriced, a 30 dollar breakfast buffet with like 8 items is insane. Next thing was the room, we had a king sized bed with twin bed pillows. In the middle of the night there was a flood above us and water started pouring through the light in the bathroom. After that the AC in our room went out. We brought this up as we had to check out very early and it was a very light apology and they waived the 30 dollar resort fee (felt like an insult). The ice maker did not work either. And the beach view was okay but for the price you expect the beach outside your balcony not a 5 minute walk away."
