"We've been visiting this place for decades and our most recent visit, since taken over by Sunday, fell short of expectation. Maybe teething or transitional issues but the place has lost its charm. We were surprised to be charged for swimming, £12 pppd, this had always been included previously. We went down to the bar and restaurant for dinner but left within 10 minutes as there was no atmosphere at all, you could hear a pin drop, no music or TV on, no one wanted to speak. We chose a table to sit on and it hadn't been cleaned, can't say the bar staff were run off their feet... The grounds are beautiful and the rooms are always clean, fresh, with everything you need. Now you have to request housekeeping via an App, it will not be done routinely. Obviously these companies want to find every way to increase profit but it might come at detriment to what makes this place lovely. Not sure we'll be back."

"Great location for all the local attractions. Clean and safe. Parked with ease in the multi story across the road as no spaces in the one at the back of the hotel. We’ve stayed at two other hotels in the same chain in Kingston and Hampton Wick. They have the edge as provide a prosecco / beer as a welcome drink. You can also get a latte at breakfast for no extra charge at the other hotels. We had to pay extra here which I feel is a bit ‘cheap’. Fab bathroom. Loved the Molton Brown touch. Disappointed that when my husband turned the bedside lamp off to go sleep it fell on top of him with exposed wires. We told reception and it was removed whilst we were at breakfast. Safe didn’t work either which we later found out was a battery issue. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others. "

"The breakfast was very overpriced. The room was very attractive, historic and clean. The bed was comfortable. The family enjoyed the pool. Major complaint was that it was a hot day, the air conditioning wouldn't work and to make it worse, the heat wouldn't go off. "

"Lovely clean room. The only criticism is the bathroom. It was lovely & clean but not very practical for someone who doesn't want a bath or sit down shower. Also the tempered glass doors were not practical. I dont think even your partner wants to see what you are doing in the bathroom! No privacy. The staff were excellent. "

"Breakfast menu was quite lean on the cold/continental menu but had varied with the hot food. Could do better with the continental breakfast section. Take note that parking isn’t free or complimentary."

"Beautiful historic coach house in the middle of the most beautiful part of the Cotswolds. Room was large, food at James Martins tavern was superb and the staff were fantastic, especially Jason who greeted us on arrival and the waitress Gina at breakfast who was so welcoming, friendly and nice to my 3 yr old son. Will definitely be returning. Hopefully for Christmas. "

"It is a great hotel with good food choice in the Restaurant for both dinner and Breakfast. The staff are welcoming and helpful. The rooms are comfortable clean and have all you need. The Hotel also sits in some wonderful gardens and has Pool and Gym. I have stayed here many times and would always use the hotel when staying in the area. "

"We had a lovely evening spent at the Stratford manor hotel. The property is located amidst the beautiful countryside of Stratford city. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The room was spacious and comfortable. Would definitely recommend. "
