"We booked the hotel for a short break for our 10th wedding anniversary.
The room exceeded our expectations and it looked much better then the pictures online.
The restaurant was excellent, so was the outdoor swimming pool.
The only thing that wasn't great was a corporate party taking place underneath our room which we were not told about at the point of booking.
When I called reception I was told the party would finish at 23.00 which it didn't. When we called again we were told it would...

"Great location and breakfast! Room small and quiet, and clean enough.
But overall...
Hotel very worn and needs an update and clean. No teaspoon in room. Had to plug kettle in on bedside table. No decaffeinated coffee. Tiny TV. Poor signage to rooms. Staff mainly uninterested and unwelcoming. Room was down precarious set of stairs, in basement. View of walls. No air con. No parking (unless paid £30 for valet parking). If you want to swim it's £5 extra."

"The whole experience from checking in with the very friendly staff to enjoying the bar late at night, lovely sleep at night, great breakfast in the morning and then swim in the pool was a joy for the whole family. Would definitely stay again. "

"Great location. Good reception. Great food. Room great apart from view out of window. Could not use pool etc as was not advised there was staff training so not open in the afternoon. Only knew staff training when I had got ready and gone down to a notice on the door to enter. Times of pools opening times did not match online to inside times, so never got to visit."

"The hotel is a lovely old building with a lot of nice features. Our room was on the 2nd floor and fortunately there is a tiny ancient lift that is just big enough for 2 people and a suitcase, the room was 'cosy' but big enough, the ensuite had a good shower with somewhere for your shampoo etc if you didn't want to use theirs, it could have done with a hook nearby for your towel but that's my only minor complaint. The breakfast was a typical buffet, just what you expect. I had to ask for plant...
