"Everything was absolutely pleasant during our stay at Riu palace pacifico. The rooms were well maintained, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The property itself was beautiful. The elite club perks were definitely worth the additional room cost. My one and only complaint would probably be the buffet food.....it wasn't that great. Otherwise the restaurants were awesome."

"It was very difficult to reach the front desk or concierge via email. I requested my 4 rooms to be somewhat close to each other. Rooms were not available even after check in time. One of the rooms had a musty smell and there was water leaking from the ac unit. My room was on the end of the hotel where a private party was being held. The music was loud and couldn’t sleep. I called the front desk and they advised the music/dj will end at 11 pm which did. But the crowd kept signing and enjoying...

"This is our 4th time staying here and most likely our last. We chose to pay for the included breakfast only this time, as opposed to all-inclusive. The breakfast food was not good. It used to be amazing. It used to be our favorite meal. Now the food is bland and the few choices of meat options were really bad quality cuts. We had breakfast 3 times there and only one time were we approached by a server for our needs (gracias Enrique). We noticed that the servers mostly approached paying...

"This is not an all inclusive resort! You get either 2 or 3 included meals depending on the duration of your stay. You have to personally visit the front desk daily to make dinner reservations, you cannot do it in advance or all at once unless you’re a premium member. They offer a premium option that is needed for literally everything unless you’re okay with no service and rubbing alcohol as alcohol. They serve drinks in poorly washed cups with leftover tajin from the person who last had the cup....
