"Great location to all public transport"

"Disappointing for the cost. On the telephone prior to arrival, the staff were helpful but upon arrival, nothing was explained about the facilities and my room wasn’t ready in time. Attempting to checkout was a nightmare and took some time. Housekeeping staff were wonderful and room was clean. One lift was out of action which meant multiple stops on each use. Hairdryer in room did not work and when I mentioned this at the reception, the chap asked if I was using it properly?! Condescending. Pool area was untidy, with half eaten food left on the floor and loungers. Plus notes: Bathroom was magnificent. Bed was comfortable. Hotel was in a great central location."

"Great hotel, great location and very clean with large rooms. Restaurant was excellent and we ate there almost every night after long day tours. Staff very friendly and we would definitely stay there again. "

"Checked in and sent to a room that was already occupied . The second room had hairs in the sink and the shower wouldn’t heat up enough. Not a great stay. Messaged the hotel to complain - no response!"

"You cannot charge anything to your room unless you have paid money up front for them to deduct from like a line of credit. The whole thing was ridiculous as they had all my credit card details and could easily charge my card. It was extremely inconvenient having to pay every time you ordered and we had the same issue at the Clayton hotel in Glasgow. We also stayed at the Caledonian hotel in Edinburgh and had no issues charging anything to our room. Other than that there was a lot of construction going on around the hotel so forget sleeping in and one of the 2 elevators wasn’t working. The staff however were great and very polite and helpful and the location was excellent."
