"We arrived for a four night stay and no one offered to help with luggage or really anything. It’s was 32 Celsius and the front desk did not even have fans. They left the curtains open and no air conditioning so the room was an oven and the carpet was filthy. The window would only open one inch. "This is a fine old achool hotel, with large clean rooms, and a friendly staff. The reception rooms and bar are nice, but while we were, were totally overrun by a wedding party.
The restaurant is okay. It is adjacent tobthe reception and the dinner is acceptable, but certainly not remarkable. Everything was a little overdone. "We usually love this b&B but found it a little run down this time. Things broken in room, bed very squeaky, noisy room next to kitchen,marks and cobwebs around so a little disappointed.
Staff very friendly, breakfast is wonderful very good choice.
Parking spaces are few and you can't park on the road outside.
Around 20 mins walk down to lake and same up to town."
