The hotel was above my expectations. We felt welcome, looked after and everything was just tip top. We had an Occasion room with lake view. The room was spacious and felt newly refurbished. The bed was comfortable, big and linen luxurious. Smart TV was a bonus. Breakfast was very tasty. Staff were friendly and welcoming. We used sauna and pool. Excellent stay!

The hotel was beautiful and all the wonderful festive decorations made it feel very special. Bar staff were wonderful. I loved sipping my gin by the warm crackling fire place. The breakfast room was wonderful with lovely views of the snowy mountain tops. Great selection available for breakfast. My Eggs Royal were lovely, thank you for our amazing stay! What an absolute gem of a place

I stayed at the Hillthwaite at the end of my tour of Scotland. The luxury feel was throughout the hotel. The room was small but very comfortable and perfect for my needs. The staff - particularly the dinner and breakfast waiting staff - were amazing. The whole place was very well run. The view from the dinning room was breathtaking too.
