"For such an expensive hotel, I was disappointed that so many things went wrong just on a one night stay.
When I checked in at 11:30 at night tired from a long flight, I was immediately asked to handover my passport or driving license as an identification. Not that I mind doing that, but the way I was asked, without a friendly welcome felt rather abrupt.
When it came to leaving the deposit, two cards were rejected, that both turned out to have adequate funds on it, and then from my credit card...

"We stayed at Hotel Estherea for a week in March and was so impressed! Such a cute hotel, with spacious rooms and lovely staff. It is centrally located within walking distance to everything you will have on your bucket list while visiting Amsterdam. Will definitely stay here again and recommend!"

"Twin room was larger than I thought it would be. Quite clean. Staff were helpful and friendly for the most part. A couple of evening "concierge" men were rude and not helpful. The morning one was awesome. One more criticism - the shower floor is extremely slippery. My granddaughter slipped and I did also. Grab bars and a textured floor would make them so much safer! Overall, it was a great stay, very very close to everything near Centraal station. "

"The ice cube dispenser on the second floor was great ! The rooms are quiet and the staff was hospitable! Also the beds are very comfortable. The front desk was accommodating to allow us into our room early after a long transatlantic journey! "

"Great hotel. Really clean, rooms bright and comfortable, towels and linen fresh. The vibe of the hotel was nice - there was activity and social spaces for people who wanted it, but it was very quiet up in the rooms for people who didn't.
