"A beautiful spot in the forest, although just a bit far from the sights in Nara. The staff was lovely and the room quite comfortable, by Western standards for a Japanese room (although the futons were by far the hardest and most uncomfortable of the three ryokans we visited). "This traditional Japanese Inn is thoroughly modern with excellent facilities, rooms, Michelin quality food, and helpful staff. We want to call out ‘Mikki’ who was super kind and helped us with any language barriers we had. The entire restaurant staff was amazing and we are grateful to meet the chef. The onsens were also wonderful. A room here with breakfast and dinner included is an excellent value."
