"We had a wonderful week long stay. The grounds are spacious and beautifully kept as are the rooms. The staff and facilities were also great. Would definitely recommend."

"Only after checking in did I realise how good the location of this hotel is - at the top end of Via Etnea - so walkable to the historic centre of Catania. They have a very good arrangement with a secure car park a 5 minute walk away - 20 euro per night but you can come in and out during the day as required - otherwise parking near the hotel would be a nightmare. Room was really comfortable, and the bathroom was a good size, clean and with a modern shower and well lit. Aircon was very effective. Breakfast buffet was excellent as was the breakfast room itself, and the desk staff were very friendly and helpful throughout - I wished I had been able to stay more than two nights."

"The hotel is very outdated. Had no major renovation in 20+ years. WiFi was terrible. Nothing done about it. Toilet seat was broken for four days. Initial room assigned was on top of a rowdy bar that was extremely noisy. Shower stall floor was constantly wet from water leaking onto floor. Changed my room and compensated me 20 euro per night. Pool guys very inattentive. Upon leaving called valet phone was no longer working. Front desk was just ok. Must give a shout out to the housekeeper of my room. She was excellent. Manager Jakomo tried to make it better but at that point we had enough. Glad to be leaving."

"We needed a hotel close to the CTA airport and Palazzo Sangiorgio is exactly that, about 15 minutes away. It's not in a glamorous location and the hotel is not at a luxury level, but it's clean, well managed, peaceful and quiet. Everything in our room worked perfectly and we were easily able to park to unload our luggage, drive to the airport to drop of our bags and return so we would not need to stress returning the car before an early morning flight. The hotel is an easy walk to the main Piazza, shopping and dozens of restaurants. Catania is not a particularly beautiful city, but worth a stroll and surprisingly busy with tourists. The hotel thoughtfully had a bag packed with breakfast food when we checked out at 6 a.m. as the breakfast room did not open until 7."

"This hotel may have been nice at some point but needs serious updates. The smoke detector was removed with wires hanging from ceiling, you could not control your room temperature without talking to the front desk (but this was not disclosed at checking ) so we were extremely hot for several hours. We would have called them but the phone did not work. The beds are rock hard. The staff were very nice and the restaurant was excellent but a bit expensive. I would not recommend this hotel."
