"First time travelers to this area. Nice to see a different topography of Portugal. Stayed in a Cork Shelter. Comfortable space. Hot water ran out but the shower flow can be reduced to lower flow which helped. The pool was lovely to linger by in the heat. Was fun to meet the resident pigs, roosters, hens, and goats! Dinner was yummy and breakfast buffet an awesome way to start the day. Spent a few hours at teh river beach close by as well as explored Belver. A nice quiet couple days after a busy few days in Tavira/Peniche/Nazaré/Lisbon."

"Wonderful accommodation in this mountain retreat. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast. Very close to the castle. Loved the hot tub snd took advantage everyday. We added a 3rd day to just enjoy the experience. Dining options were limited but good. Recommended. "
"The rooms are in a modern build anex and are comfortable, clean and very pleasant. My room and many rooms have a small balcony, air conditioning and great space. We were able to park our motorbikes right next to reception, it felt safe. Breakfast was good and there is a nice restaurant within walking distance by the river ( I think it’s owned by the same people). Staff were friendly and helpful. It’s a quiet town but has a good supermarket. Overall this was a very nice stopover and I’d gladly stay here again. "
"What an exceptional spot! Marvao is incredible. The pousada is in a perfect location, and overlooking the plains below, it has a fabulous view. Our room, although small, was quite commodious and had historic traditional Portuguese furniture. Our dinner and breakfast were most enjoyable, although the dinner was not “gourmet”. Would we stay there again? Absolutely."

"The hotel is conveniently located just a few minutes walk from the Castelo de Vide. The building is dated but everything is very clean and tidy. The room we stayed in was very basic. Few electrical outlets, no cupboards or drawers for our clothes and poor lighting, but the heating worked and the shower was wonderful. The breakfast served was outstanding. This hotel is good value for the money."
