"The hotel was clean and the staff was polite, but I was surprised that the room did not include an iron. I had to call the front desk and request one, which was inconvenient. An iron is a basic amenity that many guests expect to find in the room. I hope the hotel considers providing irons in all rooms to make the stay more comfortable and convenient."

"There is no front desk/reception. This wasn't a problem, but you'll need to call or WhatsApp in advance to get the key code for your room entry. No big deal. Good location, good sized room, strong air conditioning. Very little soundproofing between rooms, so you'll be reliant on the other guests being polite and respectful. Low water pressure. Overall not perfect but fine for the price!"

"We stayed at a studio. It is roomy for two people. Air conditioner works even though you do not need it most of the time (in March). The staff is nice and friendly. Host is very responsive. Beach is across the street. The ocean is shallow which is good for children. There are restaurants and small shops nearby."

"The Punta cana airport is one hour away from La Romana. We took a cruise out of La Romana . The Hilton Garden Inn La Romana is beautiful but the staff is extremely slow. The buffet breakfast is just so-so. Food and drinks are expensive if you aren’t doing the all-inclusive."

"All rooms that were booked through expedia were double booked.No rooms were available. No one spoke english at the counter, which made it very difficult to sort out. Went to another hotel and expedia will not refund my money as hotel will not return their communication "

"The property was clean and not crowded. The food was excellent. We stayed there not for two nights prior to our cruise, so we didn’t have opportunity to explore too much. However, we do not think upgrading to the Sun Ckub was worth, compared to similar upgrade at one of Hyatt’s resorts in Mayan Riviera."

"Beautiful Property, Not a True Luxury Experience At $1,500+ per night, the expectation is a seamless luxury experience. Casa de Campo is visually beautiful, but service and value did not match the price. Check-in required a 25+ minute wait for a “concierge check-in”, while 2 front desk agents remained unoccupied, yet there was no meaningful property overview or proactive assistance. The room was standard at best and consistently humid. We had booked expecting a hot tub, but only select rooms...
