"I liked the sea view. I liked the friendliness of the staff and that they listened to my requests. However my room was too small. The TV plug only just reached the wall socket. The kettle and bedside light had to sit on the floor because I couldn't plug them in otherwise. There was no bedside table. My room was not made up between the first and second nights. My toilet seat snapped off and was unusable. There was not much choice at breakfast, marmalade and only one choice of cereal."

"Room I thought was dated, room & bathroom layout strange, although radiators were off & windows opened room was too warm. At least bed was comfy. Breakfast was fine plenty of choice."

"Good location. Friendly & welcoming staff. Great views of the bay from our room which was lovely & spacious. Stairs only to access rooms so beware if you have heavy or large luggage. À la carte breakfast was good quality. Convenient with the onsite bar & restaurant. We stayed during the week so no problems with noise. Car park is in a back lot & very small. "

"My husband & I were very pleased with everything about our stay @ The Auckland Hotel. The staff were lovely & we had a wonderful welcome.The hotel was idea to walk to the promenade. Our room was lovely & the bed very comfortable. The facilities in our room were excellent. The breakfast was superb & well worth paying the extra. I had the vegetarian breakfast. The veggie sausage was amazing. We had our evening meal @ the hotel. The Fish & Chis was lovely.would definitely stay @ The Auckland...

"Great little last minute trip on a hot day and thoroughly enjoyed it and the hotel was clean and welcoming, especially the Scottish lady on reception who was such a lovely welcoming person. Hotel was, clean and had everything we needed."

"Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent, warm plates in the plate holder. That must be a first, tea and coffee was also hot. Food selection was good. Would definitely stay for a night again if stopping off on the at further south. Dog 🐕 was made very welcome 🤗 and got a treat. Good central location. 💙🤗🙏xxx"

"Recently refurbished to good standard. Only thing is I would liked to have had a drawer or two for my smalls. The room was spacious enough. Nice breakfast area. Private parking for about a dozen cars or so. Across the road from the Town Hall, a lovely building Bus stops very nearby A refundable charge is made to ones card in arrival, which is refunded after a couple of days."

"We were allocated a large room on the 3rd floor. There is no lift. We requested a lower floor the room was mor like a bedsit .clean and quiet. .The front of the building is covered in scaffding. If we were in the rooms with hottubs etc different experience.Staff minimal buit helpful.restuarant has always been good."

"We were made to feel welcome on arrival, the pub is very old with plenty of character, the room was basic but adequate. The bar had a good choice of beers including reel ale. The breakfast was lovely."

"We had a wonderful stay in June in the woodlands chalet which featured a big hot tub and a huge comfy bed. The chalet was clean and modern, with all the essentials you could want provided such as tea, milk, biscuits and dishwashing liquid. The staff were all wonderful. We found our private courtyard with the hot tub was hot upon arrival and a great afternoon suntrap. It's just a 10 minute walk to local restaurants, cafes, cute shops, a bakery, a fantastic deli and some pubs. There is a train...

"Everything needs updating. Bathroom facilities only satisfaction and the shower was unsatisfactory. The room was dark and the lighting Best thing about it it was the bed comfortable and large."
