We had a wonderful stay at Vera Cruz Guesthouse. Recently renovated property. Super clean and comfortable. Spectacular location in the heart of Angra. Angela the host was super friendly and helpful with everything we needed. Highly recommend Vera Cruz Guesthouse for your stay on Terceira island.

My experience at this Guest House was quite disappointing. When I made the reservation, I was not aware that the rooms did not have air conditioning, so it was an unpleasant surprise when I arrived, especially because of the heat. The first room I was given was on the top floor and had skylight windows in the ceiling. The room was extremely hot, and to make matters worse, the windows and blinds did not work properly. It was very difficult to rest or sleep under those conditions. I was then moved to a second room, where I stayed for two days. However, I had to move again because that room had been reserved for three people. I was eventually moved to a third room, but unfortunately, the heat continues to be a problem, and I am still having a very difficult time sleeping and resting comfortably. I understand that a Guest House is not necessarily required to provide air conditioning, but I believe something this important should be clearly stated before making a reservation, especially during the summer. Having to change rooms three times also made the stay even more uncomfortable. The staff did try to help by moving me to different rooms, and I appreciate their efforts. Unfortunately, my overall experience has not been good. If I had known beforehand that there was no air conditioning and that the rooms could become this hot, I probably would have chosen a different place to stay.
