"Bouceel Castle was a splurge stay for my wife and I but we only planned on staying 1 night in this area and it was well worth it. We were so impressed with our room, our view, the grounds, the decor... it was a shame we only booked one night. The highlight of course was learning about the history of the home and it's original owner. Very interesting and very sweet that he took the time to share it with us. What more can I say? "Clean rooms, comfy bed. Great restaurant and service! My only complaint was it was HOT. They had a heat wave. It was 93 and no air condition and no fans. Also no elevator so if you’re on 1st or 2nd floor you’ll have to drag your bags up. But very good location overlooking beautiful lake. Great service. Any other time but when very hot, great hotel. And if you’re elderly it can be difficult up stairs (I had 71 and 69 year old women with me and it was a struggle. The restaurant was amazing though...

The living room is tastefully decorated. The location is on the edge of a small village a few kilometers from the highway, close enough to be convenient, but with no traffic or noise. "Beautiful old manor, impressive entry to the property. In need of cleaning and extensive maintenance. Beautiful grounds, lots of greenery and extremely lush. Room was very small, but worked. No air conditioning, had to open windows but no screens. Must carry your bags up a very narrow spiral staircase. Dinner at the restaurant was very good, food presentation was excellent. Overall would recommend and would stay again, but would love to see the owners do some overall repairs."
