"Spent one night. Hotel seems to be under renovation and updating. We had a beat up, non functioning hot tub in the bathroom. No shower curtain and hair from previous guests. They did send someone to sanitize. Two chairs in the room. One was a plastic patio chair and another was fake leather with all the “leather” peeled off the seat. Police came three times to deal with two drunken men who would pass out on sidewalk and benches. Third trip, one showed up with a head injury bleeding all over...

"For $200/night (they Expedia - much higher otherwise), an actual lobby with at least coffee available would have been nice. I (now) understand it's an extended stay place, but even then they could have a few amenities."

"This did not feel like a safe building or area. Room was bare bones but not particularly clean, and the deadbolt had been removed from the interior of the door. Would not have felt safe without my husband also there, and even so we almost changed hotels last second."

"Check in was extremely slow. Each group ahead of us took 15 minutes each. We only booked this hotel due to it having a kitchen. The pictures include a 2 burner induction stove top. The room had cabinets and draws but not 1 utensil, pot, pan, plate, bowl or anything to cook or eat with. Was told but the front desk that this is because they have no way to sanitize. The listing for the hotel is very misleading. My 1 night stay should be refunded."

"The Highliner is a modern hotel with only a housekeeping staff. The rooms and modern and comfortable. Its in a great downtown location. Don't miss the Fire Island Bakery one block down K street."

"I like the wooden style of this hotel. It feels warm to me! The room is very clean and housekeeping is very nice. There’s a small cafeteria and a nice restaurant/bar at the entrance. Parking is easy too. Recommend!"

"This hotel was under construction when we checked in . But the staffs were extremely helpful in everything. There is no elevator in the property but the staffs helped us carrying up & down our luggages . They even helped us loading our car . The rooms were very clean and the staffs made sure we had everything we need for our stay . Our special thanks goes to Mike & Amanda who made our stay very comfortable & memorable also ."
