Great location, Spa experience and food. Staff pleasant. We chose this hotel for indoor swimming pool but the pool was a bar pool with people sitting around and having drinks. Not a pool we expected. Other than that all very good. Likely to visit again!

Except for the amazing food and lovely staff there were 23 sun loungers only for a hotel with 17 floors. So for my entire stay I couldn’t sit once in the sun. There were only a few outdoor chairs and tables and again they were unavailable. Totally unacceptable . Hot tub, indoor pool and spa at additional cost with an hour only access. Other ‘indoor’ pool was still exposed by open balcony area so cold breeze and full of kids jumping in the pool. Totally unrelaxing. Photos on expedia website are AI as there is no area overlooking beach whilst inside the pool as shown. Very dissatisfied and disappointing! Expedia of a gesture credit only - no refund at all. Shabby paintwork in our room, curtain that didn’t close, tv that had no nearby bed or seating to watch.

Overall very good and relaxing break at the hotel, the buffet breakfast was excellent and staff very polite and helpful. Will return again as enjoyed our stay, only downside was limited sun loungers on the outside balcony near the inside pool, spa was great and food was excellent

Lovely hotel with helpful and friendly staff. Breakfast buffet was extensive with great range of options and the additional restaurants were also nice (even if the ground floor restaurant prices were a little upmarket). Also 10 min walk from main bus stop and bus from airport does stop outside the hotel. The rooftop restaurant was also lovely, however glare inside the restaurant made it a bit difficult to appreciate views at night. Would recommend to anyone in staying in Arrecife.

Check in was lovely. Very welcoming staff. Room beautiful. Whole hotel was lovely. Special shout out to David our waiter in 17 Blue who made our evening really special including recommendations & great cocktails. Although we had a city view we still had lovely views of the beach & harbour.

Great location. Lovely pool area and bars with amazing breakfast. My husband celebrated his birthday and as a surprise we were left a bottle of fizz and cake in the room which was really nice.

Best Hotel

This has to be one of the best hotels we have stayed in, the staff were polite and friendly. Very helpful. Everything was accessible and easy to get around. But bear in mind i don't know if it’s our brain but the light system was very confusing to us!! Haha! We stayed in the suite and the suite absolutely beautiful, But was it not swept or mopped, so kept slippers on. We did ask for the room to be cleaned but they only swept not mopped! They know how to clean rooms as the last night we stayed the room was swept and mopped and it was AMAZING after that!

Amazing stay. Very good facilities from the moment you enter reception to all the way to your room. We had the sea view suit and the room was excellent! Very modern and spacious. The hotel is located very conveniently close to the city centre with lots of local restaurants.

Great hotel, with beautiful views. Decent breakfast and lovely, big rooms. The only complaint we have is the housekeeping staff took too long to make our room. After a day out we’d return at 4pm and the room still wasn’t made despite leaving the door note on the handle at 9am. Request for more pillows was also forgotten. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay very much.

Enjoyed my stay at the Gran Hotel and Spa. It was clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was amazing, right by the beach. It's the tallest building there, so you can't miss it. The spa was a great feature, though it was discounted due to the jacuzzi being closed. The rooftop bar is a nice place to watch the sunset but I wouldn't recommend the food.
