"Everything about our short stay was lovely. The town was very quiet while we were there - our stay was primarily to visit the castle ruins (which we recommend!). Very charming town. The inn was very relaxing and we enjoyed the on-site onsen, and the excellent Japanese breakfast. The room was WONDERFUL. We loved the traditional architecture-with modern amenities-and the room was clean and had very comfortable and quiet. The bathroom was modern and the complimentary drinks in the mini-bar area...

It's close to the town, which has good izakaya and other options if you're not on a meal plan. There is also a Lawson close-by. "Staff were incredibly attentive and nice. Even with the language barrier they went above and beyond using Google Translate to explain the courses of our dinners and breakfasts, as well as information about the town. The hotel was slightly out of town (15mins walk) but they have a shuttle that was basically on demand. We wanted to go into town for the night and they dropped and picked us up at our desired time.
