Yes the rom was very clean . And the staff are all top notch ! Checkin was super easy . The desk people are bi lingual so as an English speaker it was very easy . And the location is great the view of ashhidake is amazing. And the onsen is one of the nicest I’ve used ! Tattoos are allowed also . The kitchen is very well stocked and very comfortable. Don’t forget your groceries!! There are 0 restaurants up there after the lunch counter at the ropeway closes !
Super convenient to go hike the national park. Walk to the cable car takes 15-20 minutes tops. Onsen is amazing after a long hike. Lots of friendly travelers! Loved my time there!
I loved this placed. I really appreciated all the hiking-oriented material in the common areas; 3D printed relief of Daisetsuzan and several detailed posters, helpful in planning or reminiscing. Masa went above and beyond in helping me plan different hikes and transportation.
I'll definitely return.
Great hostel experience. Had a private room which was great, very nice indoor and outdoor onsen, good access to hiking. They had some self-preparing food options but you should bring your own food. There are no restaurants in the area or shops

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
Price Value is the best here around Mt. Asahidake and the Japanesestyle rooms are quite big and comfortable. Also the onsen has a good size.
Perfect place to stay as a base to do some hiking in the mountains. Wonderful that it has an onsen complimentary for guests - very welcome after a hike! Communal cooking & eating facilities extensive and a good place to meet other guests. Friendly and helpful staff.
The only minor negative was no air-conditioning as it was quite warm.
Nice place to stay just a 15 minute walk to the Ropeway. I had a room with private bath that was quiet and comfortable. Great, friendly staff. Would stay here again.
This place was great! Our room was really comfy; had our own bathroom; great kitchen and common space for cooking; laundry facilities; onsen; they also have a ping pong table.
Would absolutely stay here again, just make sure to bring your food!
We stayed at one of the 2 cabins. It was clean and comfortable. No bugs from the forest because the insect nettings are very good. U will need to use the shared toilet which is about 30m away.
The shared kitchen is excellent. It's large and clean. here are 4 stoves and utensils. I guess u will need to cook something for meals since there's nothing around.
Because it was more like a youth hostel for grown-ups, there were plenty of chances to meet interesting like-minded travelers. There was a good vibe. The facility is traditional to Tatami mats on the floor and futons bring your own food and cook in the condition and eat in the communal hall, overall very fun experience
Best hotel stay ever! Hands down. Would come back here again and again. Thank you K’s house! They went above and beyond with amenities, ensuring we had snacks and drinks, sending a forgotten necklace home to me in the mail. Outstanding service!
Perfect room for getting up early and heading up the cable car to the top for some hiking. Quiet comfortable and clean. Some coffee and toast for breakfast. Easy and fine for me. Nothing fancy but a fine place to sleep
The facility is well kept even though the kitchen is used by all the guests. There’s a friendly community kind of atmosphere in the dining area. There is no air conditioning but the room is cool and well ventilated via the big window with insect netting. Onsen is very good. Staff very friendly and helpful. Nice surprise for the price I paid.
For a hostel, K’s place gets 10/10. I would rate it higher if I could. While it’s not fancy, at this price point, within walking distance to the Asahadake Ropeway, it’s a great deal. K’s Place completely exceeded our expectations. The staff were friendly and informative, giving us a tour, explaining the Onsen, communal kitchen and all their amenities. It’s a very homey feeling. There is a giant comfortable lounge and eating area, 3-4 communal fridges, multiple cooking areas completely stocked with all utensils needed, free coffee/tea, 24 hour onsens, game room, and more. We even had a private room (king size bed) with private toilet and sink. We didn’t need a shower because of the great Onsen on the ground floor. Plenty of showers in the Onsen too. They even supply soap and shampoo, towels, lockers. I would definitely return. Thanks for a wonderful stay!
