"Great stay for our family of 4 (2 teen boys). Perfect location, close to train station, Ichiran, Don Quijote etc. Customer service was great, staff was so helpful with check-in, check-out and they speak English fluently. We’ll definitely stay again as this hotel has all the amenities we need - fridge, microwave, washing machine and ample space for a family."

"Room is good size, location is excellent for shopping and heritage. Onsen is great, breakfast is superb. Only downside is parking is not available on site. Plenty parking spot, but all were blocked off. On weekends side street can be blocked for pedestrian only, could be confusing if you arrive by car."

"The hotel was very convenient to the Ginza line and other travel options. We were walking distance to all major things to do in Asakusa. We loved the room layout and the fact that it had a clothes washing machine and dryer in the unit. It also had a small kitchen which made reheating or making food an option. The staff was super friendly and accommodating with everything we asked. We all agreed we would stay here again or with this brand in Japan our next trip as well."

"The tatami mat were comfortable. My kids thought the setup of 4 mats were very cozy. I rather enjoyed it as well. Washer/dryer combo machines is free but it takes a long time for one load to complete so if all 3 are used, it could take hours before one opens up. Bathroom and showers were clean. I like having two sinks at the vanity."

"The Gate Hotel is a beautiful property located in the heart of Tokyo. It is easy to walk or take a train to any destination. The staff is very helpful as well if you need directions or assistance."

One staff member in particular (didn't get his name, he was from Nepal but spoke fluent Japanese and English) was so nice to us and so helpful. The breakfast was pretty great. Lots of variety and it's clear that they are thinking of their guests and what countries they are coming from. "An absolutely great spot to explore the city. It’s a few blocks off a Main Street and close to the train and bus lines. It’s close to several amazing temples and shrines, with numerous hidden gems all around. The staff speaks English far better than my Japanese, and anything beyond that was covered with translation apps or simply pointing. Clean, kind and cornered near some of the best things Tokyo has to offer."
