"Did not like room as to small for a double and very noisy as room facing road , also very hot , bathroom had no ventilation .breakfast was half cooked as they were very busy so overall would not stay again in this hotel"

"Stayed one night for music event nearby.
Location perfect for walking into city centre & train station.
Very clean, food good, beds super comfy. Kettle, tea, coffee & towels all available to use in our room. Staff very friendly & attentive.
Parking at rear was FOC - nice perk!
Very quiet at night - our room was at rear.
After returning from our gig on a cold wet April night, it was so so nice to open the front door and the central heating had been put on. 😊"

"Worst stay I have ever had. The first morning at breakfast the plates were so dirty it put us off eating. We literally went through the whole pile and could not find any clean ones. Didn't bother going to breakfast the 2nd morning.
There was an odd smell on the first day when we walked into room but it was stifling hot so put the air conditioning on and left it at that. However the next evening when we returned to the room we walked in and there was a clear smell of drugs in the room which...

"Good location surrounded by countryside. The hotel has been decorated since we last visited, which was nice to see. The rooms are a good size and comfortable. The only problem is the interconnecting door which can transmit noise. On a plus side the pool is great and we found dining in the golf clubhouse a nice change. Overall a good two night stay."

"The Moorland Hotel is fabulous. We would definitely recommend it and when we visit the area again we will stay here without hesitation. The food was excellent and the staff were welcoming. Although we didn't take a dog we saw some in the hotel and they were well catered for with a wash station outside (for after a long walk), plenty of water bowls, treats, spare leads, harness and blankets etc. All in all, at the end of our stay we felt rested and relaxed. You can't ask for much more than that."
