"The room was clean but I did noticed that tub seem stained but not with dirt but maybe some kind hair coloring or bath salts which stained it making it seem old, dull & dirty."
"Hotel was advertised as Hotel Blu, but the sign says Motel 6, which was very confusing. When trying to find the hotel. When checking in, I stood at the counter for over 5 minutes before the clerk who was sitting right there acknowledged me. The room was very dirty and they didnt have a hair dryer. The only thing they offered in the morning was coffee. That was completely watered down.
To about half the amount of a normal cup of coffee."
"Could not use the pool while we were there. Had a slimy film on top of the water and the whole room had a very strong smell of chlorine. Windows in the room very thin and could hear all the traffic going by and the hotel is very close to a busy road. There was clothing found in one of our drawers and it wasn't ours so not sure how well our room was cleaned/checked. The staff were very nice and had a good breakfast"
"Not super clean. Killed several bugs in bathroom. Bathroom needed wiped down better. Did the online check in and still had to do the whole process when we arrived. Breakfast was average."
"The room was very clean. The staff was helpful and friendly. The location was great as it allowed us to explore downtown Columbia on foot. We would definitely stay here again."
"It was fine. My rating is over the general rundown nature of the whole place. Flooring was missing from the elevator, wallpaper was peeling at the seams, the tub did not drain while showering, the ice machine on the 2nd floor was missing, the Keurig in my room was too dirty to use, and half of the “sealed” items in my room (e.g., cups, creamer) were already opened.
Nothing was bad enough to complain about to staff but all of it together bothered me. It was fine for the cost but there are newer or more recently remodeled hotels nearby. I didn’t use many of the amenities, but at least the breakfast was hot and fresh.
One last thing. The WiFi info is only available at the front desk, which is again “fine.” The problem was the network name did not match what was posted. I wasn’t comfortable connecting my devices and the cell signal there is hit and miss."
