"Our room was right over the gym - if you like loud music and constant thudding noises and being woken at 6:30 am then this is for you.
Would not recommend at all- manager was unhelpful and staff clearly knew right away where our room was and what the thudding noises were without having to even think about it.
Manager claims no one else has complained about this room. It’s AWFUL- stay away and do yourself a favor. There is nothing in Athenry - stay in the city if Galway and you will have a MUCH...

By far the most disappointing hotel stay of our Ireland trip.
Room was visibly worn and poorly maintained.
Multiple visible stains on bedding, bed area and upholstered furniture (see photos).
Contrast-enhanced versions of some photos uploaded because several stains were less visible on camera than in person.

"It was hard to sleep during the nights we stayed at the hotel as it no longer has air conditioning and the nights we stayed were hot. The room had a minimal ceiling fan that helped a little but not enough. The room was clean and the staff was helpful."
