"Overall they have all the amenities you would want ex. Pool, hot tub, large rooms, breakfast and parking included, restaurants on-site, but with that, those amenities are dated and need some TLC. Are room smelt like a dog owner had a long stay before us or they just had a wet dog in the room, including noticeable fur on the carpet. Bed was comfy. Many screw holes where picture frames or decor had been hung, just cosmetic fix at that point. Breakfast was good with many options hot or cold. Pool area and hot tub need some work - lots of standing water especially by hot tub area and a noticeable green line along the water line in hot tub. Parking lot and landscaping around hotel looks like it hasn’t been touched in a while. Overall staff were “friendly”, but only the lady who helped with breakfast greeted us with a smile, remember customer service is first priority. All in all would stay again with the value and amenities offered but would love to see this place get an uplift if possible."
"The hotel staff was very accommodating, hard working, intelligent and responsive. The pool temperature was adjusted upwards after just one request which was appreciated by multiple guests. At first the temperature of the water was too chilly for comfort."
"Room was clean, staff was very pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was always hot, full and ready. We had no issues with parking on any of the 4 days there.
2 small things I found different but not serious. For breakfast there was no salt or pepper for taste. Our room while kept clean and stocked our dirty towels piled up. Again, neither item was in anyway an issue that would cause me to complain or not suggest others to stay at the Wausau Hampton Inn."
