"We brought our own water shoes and snorkeling gear. Didn't get to see any sea turtles, but we heard there were some eating by the sea grass on Baby Beach. The water was so calm and beautiful you could take a nap floating in the water and not get swept out to sea. The resort had a little section of the beach that was set up with a couple canopies that had beach chairs underneath. The pools were nice and clean. The food was surprisingly pretty good for an all inclusive place. We did the romantic dinner in the wine cellar of Portofino that we felt was not worth the price. It felt awkward because everyone was able to see us inside, it was quiet until we connected our music to Bluetooth, the staff came in and out of the room to grab wine for other guests, and the wine cellar connects two restaurants together so staff was walking through the wine cellar. Also the menu was exactly the same. Nothing special except we ate inside the wine cellar. The resort was newly opened since June 2025 so there was still construction being done. "Chef Elise was awesome! I loved hearing his travel stories and looking thru all his photos. He feeds the iguanas, fish and crabs too! Breakfast consists of eggs, omelet, whatever ingredients you like, toast, fruits, pastries & coffee. Great way to start the day."

"Please do not go to coral reef. It’s a terrible place. The picture you see online is not real; the bathroom is full of mold, the shared kitchen is dirty; the owner is a ripoff and l can go on and on. I had to leave after 2 nights even though my stay was supposed to be 5 nights. So go figure. Terrible terrible place. There was construction being done on the premises and loud noise of banging from the workers was disturbing. If you prefer a run down place, Coral Reef is for you! Don’t waste your money and l have videos to prove my point."
