"Loved having everything in the room & on the property. From bottle opener & to delicious well prepared meals onsite. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean & well equipped. The hotel is about 45 minutes away from downtown via golf cart but I planned accordingly and enjoyed onsite and nearby amenities. Front desk main staffer. I cannot remember his name but he guided and helped on every topic, even prior to arrival! He was the best & I’m sorry I cannot remember his name. He made our stay phenomenal."

"This is a very pleasant and well-run outfit. However, we were disappointed by the beach area, which wasn't really a beach but felt more like a concrete slab with a thin kayer of sand spread on top. Sadly, the shore all down Ambergris Caye was choked with a foul smelling algae bloom which made it impossible to swim and ruined the entire island atmosphere. The location is ok if you have wheels, but if you don't it's too far away from the shops, which is a real bother seeing as the hotel doesn't do breakfast."

"the resort was beautiful. loved the pool the kitchen was very nice .very clean. Eiden was very nice and helpful...activity director Karen was awsome and very helpful . making sure all our activities were set up. due to mother nature the beach was not available but there were other beaches near by. karen booked us a tour to check out the Mayan ruins and cave tubing with lunch included. we had an awsome time.....Eddy and Mike {tour guides} were really cool and made sure everyone was comfortable and was having a great time ,they also were very knowledgeable"

"We recently returned from our trip to San Pedro, and I wanted to share that our stay at Captain Morgan's Beach Retreat was a highlight of our experience. From the moment we arrived, we were treated with great kindness. Janet at the front desk was wonderful; she ensured our check-in was seamless and personally escorted us to our room. The entire property has a peaceful and incredibly relaxing atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed our beach bungalow. The waterfront views were breathtaking, and the accommodations were comfortable and well-equipped. Having a fridge and coffee maker was a great touch, and we loved spending our mornings on the porch. A special thank you to the restaurant staff. The owner, Maricruz, and her assistant, Ingrid, were incredibly attentive, and the food was consistently delicious. We were especially touched when they surprised my daughter with table decorations and red velvet cupcakes for her birthday. It was a thoughtful gesture that made her day very special. We will highly recommend your retreat to anyone visiting the area. Thank you for a lovely and memorable stay. We will return. "
