Great stay

Location was perfect - walking distance to everything (bus station, lagoon, centro) Place was spotless Claudia was always available on WhatsApp for any questions we had and even helped us get a transfer to Guatemala Thank you so much we were really happy with our time here

This doesn’t qualify as a hotel. It is a total Rip-off. They asked to pay in advance before seeing the property. The place turned out to be horrible, very different in person. A total fraud. Dirty towels, sheets, with bugs in the room. The AC did not work, the temperature in the room was about 100oF when we arrived. I felt as if we were in an oven. Don’t book at this place, there are much better choices in Bacalar for the same budget.

Missing amenities, slow communication

Booked the family room with 3 beds, only provided one towel (when requested more that evening, did not receive until next morning after several more requests). Hair dryer was also not provided until the next morning after being requested the evening before. Host said they couldn’t read the entire message in the hotels.com app, and the WhatsApp number provided by hotels.com was incorrect. Beds in same room as kitchen. Mold in bathroom. No microwave (says there is one in the listing). No kitchen towel. Listing says it includes a night tour, which we were not given. We were offered a 2 hour use of kayaks (at a different location 5 minutes away) after 930 AM the next morning, which unfortunately we couldn’t do due to wind.

Should have left early

If you are booking on a budget, take your expectations and lower them again. This property appears nicer on the pics than in person. The breakfast is pre packaged croissants and a fruit bowl placed in your room. We had to text the property everytime we wanted to shower with hot water and often it was like warm - maybe for eco friendly reasons? The power went out for several hours one day and we were told it was all around town, which it was not. We did not have blankets the first night, but once we asked, Claudia (who was wonderful and helpful) quickly brought them. The property is not far from a section of the lagoon, but it is not very close to the center of town or the area of the lagoon that is considered seven colors. Claudia was the best offering for this property, and she had to often wait for responses from her “manager” who was not helpful or responsive when I told him I had medication in our refrigerator that needed to be cold after the power had been out for hours and the mini fridge lost its coldness.

La chica que nos recibió muy amable, el aire acondicionado y la conexión de internet funcionan muy bien. La habitación estaba muy limpia, hay detalles, que demeritan la limpieza, por ejemplo, la pintura de las paredes con moho (aunque la habitación no huele a humedad), la puerta del ba&o sucia, Esto de la pintura yo lo había leído en otros reviews, al ser comentario constante asumí se había corregido, pero no. Una taza rota, el frasco de café mal cerrado, y húmedo, (no se antoja tomar café de ahi) , NO ES DESAYUNO INCLUIDO, es fruta de cortesía, No hay cafetera, es una jarra para calentar agua, los utensilios de cocina muy limitados, no se antoja cocinar. Si nos dieron un garrafón de agua, las toallas, aunque limpias, muy viejitas, incluso la de manos deshilachada. Muchos detalles que, si se arreglan seria un muy buen lugar, actualmente, por esos detalles, nos quedamos con la percepción de que pagamos mucho por lo que recibimos.

Excellent rapport qualité prix

Hôtel très convenable avec un super rapport qualité prix. À 400 m du lagon et à 10 minutes du centre. Chambre spacieuse et bien adaptée avec un coin cuisine et même des œufs, fruits et gâteaux. Le prêt de vélo est vraiment très pratique ! La chambre 1 est un peu vieille mais très propre.

The features portrayed in the hotel add are a bit innacurate. First there’s no front desk. You hsve to comunicate by WhatsApp, Second, there’s no Spa, third, the free use of kayak and bikes is not quite accurate. We tried to use a kayak and we had to reserve a time but when we got to the waterfront club house which was far away, perhaps 2 kms or 1.5 mile, we were told that there was only one kayak available but we were 4 guest! It was a big let down not to be able to kayak in that beautiful water.

Es sind kleine Unterkünfte, kein Hotel. Wir haben den Schlüssel in der Tür stecken gehabt und sind so auch wieder gegangen - mit der Gastgeberin hatten wir nur per WhatsApp Kontakt. Die Unterkunft (Nr. 2) war klein und zweckmäßig eingerichtet. Alles ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen und man merkt und sieht den Wänden und Decken die Feuchtigkeit an. Es gab aber keinen (!) Schimmel und die Unterkunft war so sauber wie sie nur hätte sein können! Es ist eine sehr einfache Unterkunft. Unser Style war es nicht und wir haben die Chance genutzt früher abzureisen. Wenn einem weniger Komfort, etwas älteres Interieur & Exterieur und 'insgesamt einfacher' nichts ausmacht, kann dort definitiv 1-3 Nächte rumkriegen. Ist auf jeden Fall eher nur zum Schlafen und nicht um den Tag dort zu verbringen.

Calme, près et charmant!

Super bel endroit, convivial, près de tout, au calme pour dormir. 👌 Le mini-déjeuner a été apprécié. La dame qui s’occupe de l’endroit habite sur place alors le service est rapide. Elle est de plus vraiment sympathique! ❤️
