"Exceptional B&B in Beautiful English Countryside We were looking for a scenic place to rest up after our overnight flight to the UK from the USA and found this amazing place. Located in a beautiful, rural area with plenty to see and experience nearby. The property is stunning and very well-maintained. John and Elizabeth were amazing hosts. Warm, genuinely friendly, accommodating, and fascinating in their own life experiences. It's not every day that you get to meet an Olympic medalist! We...

"Excellent breakfast and very friendly owners. We had avkarge bedroom that was very comfortable with a hot shower. Highly recommended"

"Leigh Anne and Harriet loved our stay at Windylands. Our host Richard was wonderful and we loved talking to him. Our breakfast was delicious. What a wonderful stay!!"

"Great all round"

"lovely old character property in beautiful location, friendly hosts, very accommodating and welcoming, comfortable beds, excellent breakfast, great Indian meals available at very local pub, perfect!! "

"We would not have booked here if we had known the Saturday breakfast was 9am to 10am. There is no information about breakfast times on the booking process. The TV was totally unusable as I do not have a modern PhD. I simply could not understand all this internet stuff. The Wifi speed was slow, less than 1mbps. Besides that, clean comfortable room, excellent real beer in the bar."

"Staff helpful, room huge and quirky. Would stay again."

"Lovely big room with a comfortable bed. Breakfast was lovely as were the staff. Would definitely recommend staying here."

"*AVOID AT ALL COSTS* We booked a stay in the Superior Room. We never received the code to get into the building. Upon attempting to open the door without the code, it was simply unlocked! (No security.) Had to call the property manager for room key access. Upon inspecting our room, we spotted the following: Bathroom: tub rotting, grout and cocking in series disrepair, ventilation fan broken, ceiling bubbling, toilet valve broken, two mosquitos and two small flies in bathroom, cobwebs, spring...

"Absolutely wonderful! We loved our host and appreciate his helpfulness and conversation!"

"My room was cosy and provided all that was necessary. Having arrived, by bus, before the check-in time I was greeted in a friendly and professional manner and shown to my room. Breakfast was well catered for, although I may have missed this in the itinerary, apart from there not being a cooked option. All in all a good experience."

"1. There were many dead bees to start off with 2. Bedside lamps didn’t even work so we had to sleep with the main light on. 3. The pressure of the sink in the toilet was disastrous as it was too high and would go everywhere and the water kept turning on and off . 4. The main light kept flickering. 5. There was also no staff in the property and when we faced some problems in the night and we weren’t comfortable to phone them in the night ."

"Everything was perfect. The attention of the host was really thoughtful, the location was completely adorable and a perfect place to disconnect and the breakfast filling and delicious"

"Great from the start clean and tidy Great shower Great breakfast staff very good manners olaf very friendly provided Great humour made everyone welcome"
