"I was disappointed to find out that I had booked an apartment in the ā€œresidence portionā€ instead of booking a room at the Hotel. It was a complete oversight on my partā€¦ so pay attention to what youā€™re booking!!! While the apartment was clean and had a great view, it was not what I was expecting when I booked. The staff tried to accommodate my offering a hotel room for one night, however it would have been quite inconvenient for me to move multiple times. The staff at the front desk (Alicia and -Rhea and others) are beyond helpful. I made the mistake of not calling or emailing them in advance of the trip. For example Iā€™m sure they would have suggested renting a car and/or let me knows that the only option is to take public transportation, eg crowded, hot ferries and buses or pay up $150 + for a taxi ONE WAY! This is a single most critical thing. I did not realize when booking this tripā€¦ Transportation is a mess. The hotel had a DJ one night that we enjoyed very much along with the nice stuff at the pool bar. Breakfast is served on the terrace with a nice viewā€¦ and while there was quite a variety, it was my least favorite meal of the hotel. The hotel itself is in a rather remote location (we didnā€™t want to be surrounded by tourists). So if you like that - I highly recommend Filario especially if you stay at the hotel. The beach access is very convenient and there is a beautiful pool although we didnā€™t use it. The views and quiet mornings of the lake are magical."
