One of the largest brick only buildings in Europe, made famous by Pink Floyd's 1977 album, Animals. It's now a grade one listed building in the U.K. and plans are underway to develop this building and to renew the surrounding Battersea area.

“There is something at work in my soul, which I do not understand.”

― Mary Shelley, Frankenstein

If your dream is to live in a decommissioned coal-fired power station, then Battersea Power Station 1 is the place for you. The plant has been decommissioned since 1983, and has had various owners attempt different types of projects that failed to gain traction until the present one which is now being constructed. However, initial investors are already flipping the unfinished real estate properties driving up prices for people who actually need a place to live.

Yup, there is something at work in our souls, which I don't understand.
