"Cedar Lodge Motel has always been a favorite as the kids were growing up. The pool is definitely a drawing feature. Cedar Lodge is a reasonably priced place to stay that is clean and feels safe. I have found the staff to be friendly and helpful. It is within a five minute or less drive to many eating places, and shopping areas. The beaches and lighthouse are also within a short drive. If you really enjoy walking then skip driving and get where you want to go on foot."

"What a great place! There are signs at the front desk that speak to quality and excellence and this is delivered consistently throughout. So many nice touches including: a beautiful property, great pool and hot tub, extremely clean bathroom and room in general, nice TV with an excellent list of channels, great snacks included in our stay and one of the most comprehensive guest directories we’ve seen. We will be back!"

The Brentwood Waterfront Retreat

"We enjoy our evening at the Brentwood. It has been around for a few decades apparently, as such there is a bit of wear, but all good. The only glitch was getting in. I had the code for the main lock box, but couldn't figure out how to work it. (You have to push a button to illuminate a digital key pad. The code for the room lock box was really hard to find in the "email". I suspect if one had the app, it would have been more apparent. (A better explanation of how the lock boxes work (never seen these ones before) might have been helpful. I called the number and the gal was very helpful and resolved the issue. Easy sailing after that. Nice place. It felt a little like first year university entering the dorm for the first time. A few other couples there, but everybody was pretty chill. I don't know if it mentions it on the website, but there is quite the stair case down to the beach, and somebody with significant mobility issues might not be able to navigate it. Over all it was very nice. 4/5 overall."
