"Our room was nice, the floor was a little unlevel as with is keeping with an old building. The reception staff was helpful and Stephen in the bar was super friendly. We enjoyed our stay there and would recommend it to anyone staying in Inverness. The location was excellent for city centre and the local attractions."
"Room was clean breakfast was ok. They didn’t have much as they had a huge rush before we got there. We had limited time so we were a little disappointed. However, all the staff were very friendly and kind."
"I was messaged that I would need to self check in on arrival which wasn't an issue but no details were sent on which room number I was or where/ how to collect key.
The number provided took many attempts to contact.
The site is very run down, rooms in poor condition, not even dispensed hand soap in the bathrooms and I expected dispensed shower gel but absolutely nothing.
The site has been run into the ground, room dirty and bedding all stained. Mattresses have had their day, a really terrible experience for a £90 a night stay!!! I would avoid and take a tent or sleep in your car for better comfort"
"This is a lovely old manor house that is used by the bus tour companies. The house and carpets need some TLC as they are worn in places and the paint is a bit chipped. Although functional, the bathrooms could be updated.
The grounds are lovely and it is very quiet- just birdsong. It’s only 40 minutes to Inverness and the village itself has a number of attractions."
"Room was clean and staff was helpful in getting a taxi to the airport booked for me. It was more of a transit hotel than I had realized. It is connected to a train station and across the street from the busses. I also wish the door had an additional latch or deadbolt, as a female solo traveler I was uncomfortable not having that."

"We deliberately booked this venue as they boasted 6 new EV chargers. They wrote to us in the days before we arrived and again highlighted the chargers.
We were therefore very surprised when we got there to learn that they weren't working and apparently hadn't worked for some time.
There was however one charger that was working but it was occupied. The next day it was again occupied by the same car and this happened again the following day. When we asked if the car could be moved as it would obviously now be full we were told no and that in fact belonged to a staff member!
For a hotel to market amenities that it does not in fact have operational is bad enough but then for a staff member to hog the one actual resource that many customers wanted is, in my view, completely unacceptable.
Mark Scobbie, the general manager of the hotel's owner, solicited feedback by way of a stock email after our stay and I fed this back to him. That feedback was completely ignored hence the need to write here. Overall a very disappointing customer service experience."
