"When I landed, the shuttle was relatively easy to find, and I didn’t have to wait very long for it to turn up. The ride to the property was super quick, as it’s very conveniently located to MRU - around 5 minutes drive. Checkin was fast, and efficient and the lady at the front desk was lovely and seemed genuinely happy to be there. In my post flight haze, I forgot to take a note of her name. That being said, all the staff I interacted with were really nice people. The rooms are a decent size, and there was decent water pressure and plenty of hot water. The buffet breakfast was plentiful and delicious. There’s always a temptation to gorge oneself on the wide array of food provided but I restrained myself. I’d definitely stay there again should the need arise. "

"We spent 8 nights in this beautiful resort with our extended family. Had a great time! The rooms are spacious and the hotel location is great. The food at all restaurants was really delicious. The only negative aspect is the service at the main patio restaurant and at the pool. Had to wait a lot and always had mistakes in our food/drinks orders. Aside from that, we really enjoyed our stay. "Our 2nd visit to this hotel as we found it great value for a fun and also relaxing family holiday. We loved the Beach location where you wander straight down from the hotel - and enjoy your all Inclusive drink here too. Sit and relax with gorgeous view of the ocean or take a dip in the crystal clear Sea. Blue Bay is such a perfect spot for snorkelling , straight from the shore you can see the marine life . We loved spotting all the fish, my daughter favourite being the 'Minecraft fish' (box fish). Also make sure to take advantage of the complimentary glass bottom boat trip further out into the Bay. The staff were fantastic, from check in to The Bar servers, waiting team in the restaurant and cleaning crew . Many of the servers recognised us from previous years and were once again friendly and helpful. They particularly took time with the Kids to ensure they were happy! The Hotel manager also took time to sit with us and talk about how we were enjoying the holiday. Mostly I have to mention the Club Coralia entertainment team, Yoan & Emmanuelle who absolutely made the holiday! Their efforts and enthusiasm which is recognised a genuine passion for what they do gave the kids the most wonderful experiences and memories they will cherish forever. Nothing was too much for them and they constantly went out their way to ensure the kids (and grown ups) were having a good time- even happily being chased and pushed fully clothed into the pool! "Overall enjoyed my stay here. The property grounds are absolutely stunning and was my favorite part of the stay. So green and lush. Definitely on the quieter side. Animals around the property including a feisty peacock and some cats. I also loved being able to access the fancier hotels that are affiliated with Kaz'alala. We went over to the beach there and also the Seashell Museum. Would stay here again."

"Loved my stay here. It was only for 2 nights, but it was pleasant. The dinner and breakfast buffet were great, had everything I wanted. I loved spending time in the recreational space, playing table tennis and reading up on Sega culture in Mauritius. Room was great, a little on the small side, but the balcony made up for it. Staff were helpful in bringing bags up to the room and arranging transportation to a tour the day of our flight. Would gladly stay here again."

"La Pirogue is one of the loveliest hotels in the world! A well-balanced mix of laid-back island charm, with professionalism, friendliness, fun activities and the best hotel food you will find anywhere (mix of authentic local and themed international, always something for everyone and a classy pastry section straight out of Paris!). The grounds are picturesque and immaculate, whilst the staff are amazingly friendly and attentive. Cannot recommend La Pirogue highly enough! "
