Beautiful part of the world. Accommodation was as expected. Restaurant was good and well priced. Only minor issue was advertised hot tubs online and in person, staff informed us we were not staying in a room with hot tub access
The location of the lodge, outside of the city, was beautiful and serene. It was quick and easy to descend into Belfast, or to head north to Derry. The parking was close to the room, and the room was well lit, clean, and warm. The on-site restaurant is the highest in Northern Ireland. Overall, highly recommended, and I will rebook when I visit Belfast in the future.
We were only there for a short stay but overall it was a lovely stop over! Just outside Belfast it's situated in quiet countryside. Rooms were quiet, clean and easily accessible.
We checked in late, which the staff were still there and helpful. Food after 5pm was tricky to source in the area but some later pizza places were open, drivable.
Great property. Everything was great even the food at the restaurant was amazing.
The only thing was that the bed was a Double and they don’t have Queens beds. So it’s very small for a husband and wife. If you are very small people this would be okay.
Our stay in the pods was good. The bathroom space was very small, and cramped. The web page listed free wifi was available, but that is only available in the common areas and does not reach to the rooms/pods. The staff were very friendly, and the food in the restaurant was good & reasonably priced.
Unfortunately, our room had mold on the backs of the curtains, which made the pod smell of mold - but was otherwise clean.
Our stay at Standing Stones was very relaxing. Although perched on the side of Divis mountain, it is not far to Belfast city centre.
The room was warm, comfortable and clean. only thing we missed was a bar fridge to keep drinks cool which doesn't seem to be a thing in Irish hotels.
The only real issue we found, and this may be the fault of the Expedia listing and not the property, we were not aware that the restaurant was not open on Sunday to Wednesday evenings unless you want to order pizza which was a bit of a letdown after a long day travelling by ferry from Scotland as we didn't wish to get back in the car to get something to eat. That being said the pizza made for us on our arrival night was delicious and went down well with a glass Guinness and a cocktail for dessert :)
On our second day there was an issue with kitchen staff, so breakfast was only cereal, toast and tea/coffee, not a big issue for us as this is what we normally have anyway. Plus we were given both this and breakfast the following day for free to make up for the inconvenience.
Exploring Divis and Black mountains from the property if that is your interest is easy as the starting point for the walking trails are only 5 minutes' walk down the road.
Being up the mountain, the view was incredible the day that the weather was clear.

Liked: Cleanliness
This was our fourth stay at Standing Stones (we stayed in the pods and outside rooms in past) and the room inside this time was basic but lovely. We were disappointed this time with the Easter Sunday restaurant service. The menu was just the basic Sunday menu and nothing Easter about it, not even a cream egg for kids to make it special. Service was very slow and not overly busy and we were really disappointed we couldn't get a cocktail. I appreciate the barman saying he was stressed and there weren't enough staff to mix them, but its not like the cocktail menu was extensive or there's much goes into them. Poor excuse and let down in Easter break. We'd been there a month before and only 1 bar staff on and they made them for us no issue 😓 breakfast the next day was great and the gentleman serving alot more efficient and went above and beyond. Overall pros and cons but not as good as part experiences sorry. Did message directly before publishing review and was advised the manager would be notified but no follow up which is poor for repeat customers.
we had human faeces on the wall at the side of the bed

Disliked: Cleanliness, amenities
The chap at the front desk was nice but the room was dirty, feces on the wall near the toilet. The Expedia site said 3 hot tubs. When you arrive hot tubs are all locked, you must book them 24 hours in advance & they are £60 for 2 hours. Not mentioned AT All in listing.
The property fid not supply what was advertised fir the price, no breakfast included as per advertised

Don't bother booking the glamping option. We did on accident, and soon found out that the room is tiny, it wasnt very clean, there is no Wifi, poor cell service, and no TV in the room. The bed was tiny and only 1 pillow each. Also, no air conditioning, there is only a window in the bathroom, and no Fan.
Also there are 'hot tubs', however they take 15 hours to heat up, and were some ridiculous amount. So even if you wanted to use them, by the time you check in, you'll have to wait until the next day to use them.
So disappointed, the photos depict a lovely view, we had the only cabin without a view, no TV, Wi-Fi does not work in the cabin, you are asked on arrival to sign a document that says you will not consume alcohol not purchased onsite. You can only have one pillow and you will not get fresh towels or soap refresher. The mattress is super uncomfortable needing replacement, for $200 plus per night this was a very poor experience and there is a nail protruding on the bathroom entry which cut my arm. On the upside, there was a small fridge to keep out non-alcoholic drinks cold!
Lovely spot for a quick get away. 10 mins drive from the city. Some excellent views from around the mountains. We booked here to vist parents who are sheilding. Room wasn't cleaned when we left on the 1st morning but assume this was a contact thing due to covid. Breakfast wasnt offered as is normally a buffet style but maybe could of offered a sit down simple menu could of taken it's place?. Rooms are really well insulated so are warm but was a little too good as had to get up in middle of the night to stand outside to cool down. Maybe a fan could be supplied in the room? All in all we really enjoyed the stay. The food is lovely here and recommend, room is spacious, bed is comfortable and shower is amazing. If you are going to Belfast for a quick stay you couldn't ask for better or if you are in belfast and want a night away from the kids this is the place for you.
Absolutely smashing place great views handy to city centre and food was great only thing I would recommend bring a wind breaker she blows up there top off the mountain so would expect that overall very good 5stars
