"This time we stayed in the Cottage. It was a separate unit behind the main house. Easy to enter using the code I was emailed. The cottage was spacious. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was large with a claw foot tub and a wraparound shower curtain. The room A/C was excellent. It was very comfortable all day and night. The ceiling fan was whisper quiet. The cottage included a kitchen area with a half-size refrigerator/freezer, counter top, cabinets, tableware, microwave, and a table....

"The property is located perfectly for beach activities. It is off the main traffic way so it is quiet yet just mere steps to the beach. The rooms are cleanish but our room was not made up despite our request."

Best to rent car. Be careful of being charged by both transportation driver and hotel for travel from and to airport. "

"My husband and I loved our stay at the Carr Mansion! This historical home was charming, clean, and comfortable. Joellyn was a fabulous host; she served delicious breakfast and offered several tips/ recommendations for activities around the island. The location of the home is near to several other historical landmarks/ museums, the Strand, and the Seawall. We highly recommend booking a stay at the Carr Mansion for a relaxing trip with a home-like feel that typical hotels just can’t match. We will...

"I’ve stayed at this location on 3 different occasions over the past several years and I’ve always been very happy each time. I particularly enjoy the pool bar(Longboards). The bartender, Tyler, was great; very friendly and personable, and great service. I definitely plan on making future stays."

Leaking toilet supply line (was fixed later on first day), water dripping from ceiling during rains, gap under entry door an inch high that could allow insects entry, cold water shower, slow draining bathroom sink, parking was on the street and first come first serve, television connection failed multiple times. "Pool was green and dirty so we couldn’t swim, the refrigerator in the room had been leaking for a while and the floor was warped. We had four people in our room. They gave us three towels. We asked for another towel and they told us we couldn’t have one unless we brought dirty towels to them. Icemaker didn’t work. Floor felt gritty and dirty in the room."
