"Clean rooms and friendly staff. La Fortuna is about a 30 min drive. The friendly (Giovanni and Louis) make the drive worth it. We were able to spot sloth from the facility (guess we were lucky). I would definitely recommend it if you are on a budget. "

"This place is a birder’s paradise. They have every tropical habitat you could want on the back trails, and proper guides to spot the birds. The rooms are very good, the front desk staff was charming. The views are spectacular. The feeders are jammed with birds. Only negative was that we were almost totally rained off for 24 hours, but that’s what can happen in a rainforest. I already want to return. "

"Staff were very helpful and friendly. The location is around 20 minutes from La Fortuna so car rental was needed. Beautiful secluded spot with a gorgeous terrace and small roof dipping pool/tub (villa cacao). Room had everything we needed and was very clean. "This stay was perfect for us, the A/C works perfectly, the shower water was spectacular. We were only here for one night since we just needed a stay that would get us closer to our next stop and didn’t want to drive late at night but we definitely wouldn’t mind staying longer to relax. "The hotel was very nice and relaxing. What really set it apart was the hospitality. The staff is so accommodating and welcoming. Genesis and Kevin in particular really went above and beyond. Kevin recommended some great areas to check out locally and Genesis did as well. Make sure to ask Genesis to make you her signature drink. It is the yummiest Jamaica drink I’ve ever had! "

"We had a wonderful 3-night stay at Oro Verde! Everything was in excellent condition and the place is very well-maintained. We loved the fact that when we arrived the property had a nice pool that we weren’t expecting, so it was a great surprise! The property is located in a quiet and peaceful area surrounded by nature and at the same time the location is incredibly convenient, just 15-minute drive to La Fortuna. Our experience was great from start to finish!"

"Rooms are old and bathrooms doesn’t flush properly. There are no other attractions around and have to go to la fortuna for any activity which is an hour drive. The resort is good with thermal spas and pools ."

"This was by far the nicest place I've ever stayed, and if I ever have the chance to come back to La Fortuna I would rebook here in a second. The houses are spacious, clean and comfortable. Each feels very separate from the others and the whole property is covered in well maintained plants. With the dense foliage and the nature walk, it feels like you are nestled in the jungle and its such an amazing and unique experience.
