"First of all it could not be found. My sat nav couldn't find it. Varney Rd did not have a street sign and I don't think 44 actually exists. It took over 1 hour to locate this den. "The room itself was decent and had everything I needed, but the atmosphere felt off, a faint stale smell, like it hadn’t been opened up for a while. The real shocker, though, was the enormous mural of a man’s face directly opposite the bed. It’s so big that when I woke up in the middle of the night, I genuinely jumped. "Disappointed with room, cold - one radiator didn’t appear to work and one needed reprogramming in order to get warmth. The duvet was thin meaning we were cold during the night, and the bed was uncomfortable, so much so we nearly got up and drove home. Shower had black mould on head & pipe. There was a dirty towel, wedged behind the door on the bathroom floor. I went to use a beaker and saw that it was stained so gave up using anything in the kitchen."
