"Nice, clean room, very convenient to Windmill and restaurants. Check in by code was simple. Some patching had been done on sink and tub but was well done. Only complaint from my husband was that the water pressure in the shower was too intense to where it was irritating. He suggests a bigger showerhead."
"Funky odor in the room, may have been from a refrigerator that needed cleaning. The tv was hard to figure out and we never did get the sound to turn up. Breakfast was typical. Expected better at this price point."
"We checked in late and left early. It was dark both times, so we couldn't see the surrounding area. As I said, it was late, so I want to give the office staff the benefit of the doubt regarding his behavior. He seemed impatient with us and didn't want to talk. Normally, they will tell you what your room number is even though it's written down and they will direct you to your room. He did none of that.
I typically don't give bad reviews; I give what is deserved. I also consider how much we pay for a room and balance that with the condition of the room. Our room was very inexpensive so I didn't expect much. The beds were clean and comfortable. However, the top of the headboards had a heavy layer of dust. They obviously had not been dusted in a long time. The faucet leaked very badly. So much so, we had to lay a bath towel on the counter so the water wouldn't run on the floor.
The overall review of this hotel was 8.2 and I have no idea why."
"All went well. Somewhat neutral overall. The room, in essence, appeared tired. Though it appeared clean and all, it was not the calibre of the pricier hotels. Bed and pillows were excellent. Hot water in the shower a concern as could get buned if not careful. Tub slow to drain; but then that is not necessarily unusual. Unless I miss my guess, there was only one other guest for the night. Would I go back? Yes."
"Door way to room and bathroom was very narrow. Breakfast was lacking, Sauage patties were sitting in pool of sometype of water broth, Eggs were very watered down and sitting in pool of water. Only other hot option was Mini waffles."
"The main home was built in1898. We stayed in Linwood's View Suite in the Carriage House. It was on the second floor. Beautiful architecture remodeled to the period. Very nicely done. Would definitely stay here again. Barb was very pleasant and cooked us a wonderful breakfast. "
