"This was our first stay at the Northfield Hotel and likely won't be our last. The building is fantastic, beautiful, spacious and has lovely character. The parking was easy in the Hotels car park and the garden was incredible to walk around & so well looked after. The hotel also boasts a fantastic pool, jacuzzi and gym. We loved the jacuzzi.
With Minehead beach literally a 2 minute walk as well as the main High Street just a stones throw away it was so convienent and nice not to have to drive unnecessarily. Plenty of shops nearby, restaraunts, pubs and more to keep all entertained.
The hotel staff were amazing; inviting, friendly, smartly dressed, polite and couldn't do enough for us and our small dog. That is another reason we chose the North Field Hotel as it is wonderful being able to include our dog on our holidays as he is as much a member of our family as children would be. There was plenty to keep him entertained with the large garden to explore and the beach has a year round dog friendly space for him to go running and digging on. He also loved his sausage breakfast supplied free of charge by the Hotal staff.
Highly recommend. "
"First impressions of an old fashioned hotel are immediately dispelled once you scratch below the surface. My beautiful clean and tidy room could not offer more. Good quality bed, nice decor, up to date bathroom with amazing shower, heated towel rail, extractor fan etc.
The hotel is attached to a colourful pub next door and annexed by a dining room. Pub and restaurant staff are cheerful and professional.
Small menu offers a good variety altho I'm must say, my creamy fish pie was a little dry for my taste. Great selection of ales and vino.
Location of course is A1 and the hotel overlooks the harbour. The car park is reserved for Suite residents. When I looked out of my window this morning it was empty bar one car. On arrival I failed in my request to squeeze in on my non Suite status but there is easy parking on the street which is effectively free from 4pm until 10am.
I would say the prices are favourable compared to the Rising Sun and criminally neglected Rock House. Neither have the vibrancy of The Bath Hotel."

"The only thing we didn't like about this hotel was the limited parking at the hotel however saying that the nearby local station (tourist train) is free parking between 6pm and 9am so it wasn't a problem and we paid for an additional couple of hours the following morning at a cost of £2.50.
Dog friendly though the room was a bit warm. Even with the windows open it was quite quiet outside. Also its at the end of the beach that is also dog friendly. Staff were friendly room pretty large. The shower was excellent good strong flow of hot water. Large pretty good quality all English breakfast. The Hotel is far enough away from the Butlins end that its not too busy."
"This hotel is very well placed to be within easy walking distance of the sea front and all the night life.
The car park is right behind the hotel and even though it is a pay and dispay car park, the convenience of its location is well worth the six pounds for a full day charge. Overnight parking is free after 6.00p.m."
