"From the moment we arrived the staff were attentive and friendly, after a 3 and half hour journey we had a lovely roast dinner and a beer which went down very well. We were then shown our room which was perfect, and matched the quaint pub, the bed was comfortable. tea, coffee, milk, biscuits, & water readily available, en-suite with shower and t.v. Breakfast was lovely all fresh and local produce. Final evening we had a lovely meal which coincided with my husbands birthday, the dessert came out...

"A/c unit not working in the room. Room changed, however the a/c unit is noisy - wakes you up in the night. If you don’t have it on then it’s too cold.
Breakfast was ok, wouldn’t recommend the cheese, had been sitting for hours and sweating and looked unappetising.
Please be aware you need to pay additional for parking. Also they will charge you for an upgrade, 1st time I’ve had to pay for an upgraded room. Rooms are only cleaned if requested.

"Gorgeous hotel room right in the heart of Marlborough! We booked the room with the golden bath which was such a treat. The breakfast offering was very generous and the room had everything you could need (it would be helpful to have some bath products by the side of the bath, as the shower gel etc in the shower were attached to the wall which made it tricky). Otherwise 10/10!"

"Room was immaculate and the staff were very friendly and welcoming throughout our stay.
Unfortunately, we felt the quality of the food didn’t reflect the price. We paid around £100 for an evening meal which included two mains, a shared Camembert to start, and two drinks, but we didn’t feel the quality of the food justified the price tag. The meal itself was quite bland and lacked imagination. The sauce with the main was overly salty, and the bread was extremely dry, as though it had been left...
