"Excellent stay, no complaints"

"Room was not ready at check-in time because there were no available clean rooms. Once we got into the room at 9:30 pm, we discovered all of the baseboard trim had been ripped off of the walls, glue and soiled stains on walls, dead bugs in corners of flooring, soiled sheets with stains that had not been changed since the last guest, and we had to request all new bedding. Manager handed us new sheets and we had to strip our own beds and put on new linens ourselves. "

"From the beginning, we arrived at 3pm - this si the check in time. Went to check in and they told us it would be atleast 30 minutes as they hadnt cleaned the room yet. After 9 hours of driving it was hard to keep the kids entertained in the car while we waited for the room. Breakfast was bad. Sausage was dry like jerky pucks. Pool area had no airflow. Lots of ceiling tiles missing and rust everywhere. Windows were fogged over and it smelled musty. Our room had no hot water for 4 of the 5 nights we stayed. Front desk acted surprised every time we brought it to their attention and said no one else had mentioned anything. The last night of our stay the attendant finally told us " yeah our boiler is down for the last week and we are waiting on parts. I'll go try to reset it" even just letting us know that we may experiance issues with hot water would have helped out a lot. Cold showers suck. Housekeeping came into our room even though we specifically requested no housekeeping and kept the do not disturb sign on the door. Overall it was not a great experiance. Room was nice but unfinished ( they are currently remodelling ) phone didnt work, living room PTAC would cook you out if you left it on even set to 58 deg so we had to continually turn it on and off throughout our stay to keep the room comfortable. "

"One star is generous but can't leave a review with zero. I get it's a low rate hotel so expectations aren't to be high, but some basic cleanliness is definitely expected. Place was run down and filthy. Got in after hours, so used the night check in window. Clerk had company over and was watching a movie and took a few minutes to tend to us as we waited at the window. Then we parked near our room and had an unhoused guy setting up his bed in his van in the parking lot. We made our way up to our room and was immediately greeted by the foul smell of dirty socks and cigarettes, even though it was supposedly a non smoking room. We looked around and could not find a single clean surface. Dust, dirt and unidentifiable stains on every surface including the lamp shades. Got brave enough to check inside the microwave and saw an explosion of some unknown source all over the sides and top of it. Who knows what was in there. We ran out of the property and booked a room at the Hilton Garden Inn down the road. Manager had the nerve to tell us they could only refund one night out of our three night stay, even though we spent a total of 5 minutes in there. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this place. You're better off sleeping in your car or under a bridge somewhere."

"The property was clean, the rooms were nice, clean and comfortable. The staff was great. The teenagers loved the hot tub and pool. Didn’t smell like smoke it was a great environment to be in."
