"Wonderful place, wonderful people. The staff was so friendly and helpful, as were the other guests. The kitchen and common living space were especially spacious and humongously homey. The only downside was that the road near the close-by fairy pools was filled (unfilled?) with potholes- which really has nothing to do with the hostel and I don’t need to note that in this review. 10/10, I’ll definitely be staying here again next I visit Skye- which is ASAFP (As Soon As Financially Possible)."
"The hotel has a great vibe and the staff are lovely. The views are incredible. The restaurant wad busy but the staff were great. Portions were generous and the food was good.
Our only real complaint was our room #31. I understand old hotels don’t have lifts, so it’s a long way up to the top floor with luggage. Our room had water damage around the windows. One of the windows was taped shut. New drywall wasn’t even patched. Stains on the wallpaper around the walls by the windows. A painting for the wall was in closet and wall plugs left dangling on the wall where it hung. When the wind picked up the window and possible exterior sheathing kept rattling. As we left we saw other rooms open that were being cleaned. They were in much better shape.
That room should have been repaired before being used."
"Photos online are deceiving and show this property to be seaside which it is not. Not to be seaside, save your $$$ and stay in Portree which has better options for your $."
"Lovely cottages and friendly pub/inn. The rooms were comfortable and the dinner and breakfast we had hood. The kids still talk about the homemade chicken nuggets!"
"Excellent accommodation with an exceptional view. Immediately after booking, Colin, the owner emailed with all the information we needed to make our stay on Skye fabulous. We were greeted on arrival. The pod was meticulously clean and really lovely! Bathroom with shower, microwave, milk in the fridge, tea bags, coffee and sugar. Clean bedding, towels, tea towel, dish cloth, washing up liquid. Crockery in the cupboards. The decking had a table and two chairs and looked over the most spectacular view! The bed was slightly narrower than a double bed but we both agreed it was very comfortable. Easy to park at the pod. Colin recommended places to eat and we enjoyed a great meal at a local hotel restaurant about 7 miles away."
