"I arrived late, between 8 and 9 pm, and no one was available to allow me access to the property. Called for over an hour, and was transferred to 5 different agents. No one was able to provide assistance, either locally,or at their corporate reservation site. Had to find other lodging, last minute, on my own. "
"Did not see any staff during our stay. We were there for 2 nights but there were only two bath towels in the room and no replenishment or emptying trash. It was skimpy on toiletries and towels. The bed was very comfortable. I think a posteropedic mattress. The room is rustic and in keeping with the old west theme. It’s a short walk to Patti’s 1880’s Settlement. "
"Located about 2 miles from the highway, it's an older motel that's been updated nicely. There was some traffic noise in the early evening, but not after about 9 p.m. I'm a light sleeper and I slept well here. The room was clean and everything was in working order. The young man at the desk was very helpful in directing me to a garage as I was having car problems. I would definitely stay here again."
"The room was clean, but dated. The bed was pretty comfortable for a hotel. I did not use the air conditioner, a it was quite nice out, so can't really comment on it.
The whole facility is quite nice on the whole, nice gift shop, good size restaurant for breakfast (unlike other places where there's often not enough space at peak breakfast time). The area is very scenic, and despite just stopping over on my way though, I took advantage of the nice walkway around the shore of the lake after breakfast.
Breakfast was mediocre. The cooked food - scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage - had no problems. The staff is awesome, there just wasn't a great variety. No waffles, here.
Coffee was good, but no juice dispenser, just small sealed cups of orange juice. There was fresh cut fruit and yogurt. The had grits and biscuits, but that's not my thing and I didn't try.
Although dated, the room was clean; no stains, no bugs, the shower works well, the sink area is nice.
I would stay there again if I was passing through - a really nice stay compared to the typical name brand places, and at a comparable or better price. "
